Time to get educated:

One family has three days to put a college savings plan in place

This video is part of “The Get it Together Project,” a Geico and WP BrandStudio series that challenges people who are entering into new life stages to solve a problem in just three days.

Stacey Shapiro and Danny Princz are the type of parents who live in the moment. They love to travel with their three young children, showing them what the world has to offer. At home, the family often spends their weekends baking cookies together or riding bikes. Stacy and Danny say it feels like they have blinked, and all of the sudden their oldest son Jack is 13, meaning college is just five years away.

The family lives comfortably on Danny’s permalancer income, but they haven’t been able to start saving college—the task has been too daunting to approach. Enter Pamela Capalad, a certified financial planner and founder of Brunch and Budget. Over the course of the three days, Pamela will give Stacy and Danny a financial makeover, helping them put a plan in place to begin saving for college. Watch the video to see what happens.
