Apple chief executive Tim Cook has taken the stage, after an intro with James Corden. The host of “The Late Late Show” drove Cook and Pharrell to the event — though no Pharrell is on stage — in one of his viral Carpool Karaoke sketches.

Earlier this year, Apple announced that it would work with Carpool Karaoke — minus Corden — on a series for iTunes.

The segment was a good segue into updates about Apple Music. Cook said that Apple now has 17 million Apple Music subscribers.
