Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback Robert Griffin III has another house on the market. This time it is a seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom lakefront home in the gated community of April Sound in Montgomery, Texas, a few hours from Copperas Cove — the town where he grew up.

He purchased the home in April 2016 for $2.25 million, property records show — the same month he listed his home in Leesburg, Va., for sale. In July 2017, just over a year after buying it, he listed the Texas home for sale with an initial price of $2.99 million. He lowered the price this past spring to $2.6 million, its current asking price.

His home in Leesburg is listing for $2.7 million, down from its initial price of $2.75 million.

Griffin is on a one-year contract as a backup quarterback with the Ravens. Griffin, a Heisman winner, showed great potential in 2012 when the Washington Redskins acquired him second overall in the first round of the NFL draft. But after being plagued by injuries, he was released from the roster in 2015. He signed with the Cleveland Browns, but only stayed for one season. He signed with the Ravens in April.

The open-plan arrangement allows space for a full dining room table nearby and adjacent living room with fireplace and large flat-panel TV. The backyard has a pool with swim-up bar, two boatlifts directly on to Lake Conroe and a wooden platform that provides an easy way to access the lake.

“What’s also great about this house is all the different ways in which families and guests can enjoy the space,” Sara St. Marceaux, president of Portfolio Real Estate, the brokerage representing the listing, said in an interview. “Everything about this property is impressive, with all the luxuries and comforts you would want in a home, and the view of the lake is simply stunning.”

Griffin agrees, saying in an email that he, “loves that the house has two master bedroom suites with private bathrooms and beautiful views of Lake Conroe. You can sleep in a different bed every night of the week if you want.” The home also comes with a backup generator, Bluetooth technology and two garages. One can accommodate nine cars while the other is designed to fit two golf carts.

The homeowners association fees are $181 per quarter and cover community expenses, including a security patrol. Membership in the community country club, with golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, restaurants and a marina, may come with extra fees.
