The Banks, a 173-unit apartment building developed by PN Hoffman at 900 Seventh St. SW in Washington, offers a location directly across the street from the Wharf’s restaurants, shops, concert venues and riverfront promenade. Residents can walk to the L’Enfant Plaza and Waterfront Metro stations as well as the Southwest shuttle bus and to the Wharf’s water taxi system.

Building amenities include a roof terrace with several grilling and dining areas, fire pits, outdoor TVs and views of the Wharf, Washington Channel, Washington Monument and U.S. Capitol. A second roof terrace off the eighth floor has more fire pits, grills and dining areas. The building also has a library and study room, fitness center, pet spa with washing and drying stations and 24-hour concierge services.

The apartments, which range from 420 to 1,170 square feet, include studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, some with a den. Rents range from $1,895 for a studio to $6,500 for a penthouse unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The apartments have open floor plans, nine-foot-high ceilings, stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops. Some apartments have balconies, and some have views of the monuments and the Washington Channel.

The Goddard School, a preschool, occupies the Banks’s retail space. The site will also be home to a new building for Riverside Baptist Church. Its congregation dates to the 1850s, and it has occupied the site since the 1960s.
