Expansion: MicroStrategy, a data analytics firm, has agreed to renew its headquarters lease in Tysons after Virginia offered a $1 million state grant to stay put. MicroStrategy pledged to hire 300 people — bringing its workforce to about 1,100 — and invest $6 million in capital improvements.
Acquisition: Danaher, a Washington-based science-and-technology conglomerate, has reached an agreement to acquire the 1,200-person Iowa life sciences company Integrated DNA Technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Teaming up: Inovalon, a Bowie-based health-care technology company, has agreed to buy Ability Network in a deal valued at $1.2 billion. Ability of Minneapolis sells a software service for handling administrative and clinical tasks.
