Reston-based management and IT consulting services provider Dominion Business Solutions said it has acquired Philadelphia-based competitor Eigen X. Terms were not disclosed.

New York-based investigation and risk management services company Guidepost Solutions said it has acquired Arlington-based ICS Consulting, a provider of immigration and customs consulting services and software. Terms were not disclosed.

Woburn, Mass.-based disaster recovery and data protection software developer Acronis said it has acquired Arlington-based security software developer GroupLogic. Terms were not disclosed.

Arlington-based project management and business analysis consulting company ESI International said it has acquired a library of project management and development content from Omaha-based Agile Transformation. Terms were not disclosed.

Columbia-based marketing company Merkle said it has acquired New York-based Brilig, a developer of a data exchange for online advertising. Terms were not disclosed.

Bethesda-based venture capital firm Novak Biddle Venture Partners said it has sold portfolio company Copiun, based in Marlborough, Mass., to Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Good Technology. Terms were not disclosed.


McLean-based RxAnte, a developer of an analytics platform to predict patient medication adherence, said it has raised an unspecified amount in its first round of funding.

Herndon-based Center for Innovative Technology said it has invested $100,000 in Sterling-based Speek, a developer of an alternative to conference calls for Web and mobile users.

Joint ventures

Gaithersburg-based pharmaceutical company MedImmune said it has formed a joint venture with Shanghai-based WuXi AppTec to develop and commercialize in China MEDI5117, a biologic for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.


District-based media company CQ Roll Call said it plans to combine its Roll Call newspaper with its daily CQ Today publication, beginning on Nov. 13.
