Eisenhower Station development gets $75M in financing

Bethesda-based commercial real estate financing company Walker & Dunlop said it has arranged $75 million in financing for the development of the Park Meridian at Eisenhower Station.

The 25-story apartment building is to have 505 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Thirty-one of the units are to meet affordable housing standards.

Walker & Dunlop worked on behalf of Paradigm Development Co. to secure the 12-year fixed-rate interest-only loan with Quadrant Real Estate Advisors.

Cushman awarded leasing for MetLife’s 555 12th St. NW

WASHINGTON MetLife has awarded Cushman & Wakefield office and retail leasing, as well as construction management, for its 555 12th St. NW building.

Built in 1995, the 12-story office complex totals 887,642 square feet and has more than 100,000 square feet of retail space. The property is anchored by the Arnold & Porter Foundation and is currently 85 percent occupied.

MetLife, in a joint venture with a Norwegian pension fund manager, acquired the building in January for $505 million.

Colliers to handle gov’t. leasing at Techworld

WASHINGTON Colliers International said it has been selected by the Meridian Group to provide government leasing services at Techworld.

The Meridian Group recently acquired the two-building office project, located at 801 I St. NW and 800 K St. NW. The 758,000 square foot project includes more than a half million square feet of federal government leases.


WASHINGTON The nonprofit America Mideast Educational Training Services has signed a new lease for 20,000 square feet at 2025 M St. NW.

SILVER SPRING Associated Insurance Management has signed a lease for 19,426 square feet at 1300 Spring St. The company, currently at 8120 Fenton St. in Silver Spring plans to move later this year.

WASHINGTON The Millennium Challenge Corp. has signed a 10-year lease for 96,894 square feet at 1099 14th St. NW. The independent U.S. agency, currently housed at the Bowen Building at 875 15th St. NW and at 1401 H St. NW, will move into its new space when its current leases expire in May 2015.

ODENTON The Kennedy Krieger Institute has signed a lease for 11,000 square feet at 1130 Annapolis Rd.
