Top public company: Lockheed Martin Lockheed Martin topped the list of public companies because its revenue for fiscal year 2011, $46.5 billion, was higher than that of any other local publicly traded firm. The world’s largest defense contractor named a new chief executive to succeed Robert Stevens, only to shift gears after alleging Christopher E. Kubasik had a relationship with a subordinate. Marillyn A. Hewson, who was set to become president and chief operating officer, will now take over as CEO next year.
