Arlington-based Interstate Hotels & Resorts said it has acquired the 718-room Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration in Celebration, Fla., with Waramaug Hospitality LLC. Terms were not disclosed.

Vienna-based cybersecurity company Network Designs said it has completed its acquisition of Augusta, Maine-based BitSec Global Forensics. Terms were not disclosed.


Silver Spring-based Choice Hotels International said it has signed an agreement with U.K.-based Akkeron Hotels Group to re-brand five Akkeron hotels under Choice’s Quality name and four under the Clarion name.

Silver Spring-based Discovery Communications has agreed to provide short-form videos from its various television channels to New York-based AOL .


Annapolis-based software company High Street Partners said it has opened an office in Munich.

Rockville-based Emergent BioSolutions said it has begun a Phase 2 study to evaluate its BioThrax anthrax vaccine when administered with antibiotics.

District-based Vanda Pharmaceuticals said it has positive results for the second Phase III study of its tasimelteon drug for the treatment of non-24-hour sleep-wake disorder.

Rockville-based EntreMed said it has begun a Phase 2 trial of its oral ENMD-2076 drug administered to patients with advanced/metastatic soft tissue sarcoma.
