Acquisitions

Vienna-based database systems developer FoundationDB said it has acquired Cambridge, Mass.-based database software company Akiban Technologies. Terms were not disclosed.

Contracts

Annapolis-based mobile communication technology developer TeleCommunication Systems said it has won a $20 million contract to provide IT services to the city of Baltimore.

Dulles-based air traffic management technology company Metron Aviation said it has won a contract from Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation to study means to reduce aviation emissions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Expansions

San Francisco-based retailer Williams-Sonoma said it has opened a PBteen store at Westfield Annapolis shopping mall in Annapolis.

Leesburg-based Dulles Motorcars has opened a Chrysler Dodge showroom at 107-109 Catoctin Cir. SE in Leesburg.

Ashburn-based IT company Intelligent Decisions said it has opened a 32,000-square-foot facility in Orlando.

Dallas-based barbecue restaurant chain Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has opened a location at 11199-F Lee Hwy., Fairfax, VA 22030.

Funding

McLean-based media company Gannett said it plans to raise $500 million through a private offering of senior notes.

Moving

Arlington-based IT contractor CACI International said it will relocate its health care solutions group to Chantilly.

Technology services company CSSS.Net said it has relocated its headquarters from Bellevue, Neb., to 729 15th St. NW, Washington, DC 20005.
