A Dupont Circle-based software company co-founded by Sean Glass has raised $1 million in private funding.
EmployInsight, with nine employees, creates computer programs that help employers better evaluate their workers.
Glass’s first company, Higher One, an online financial services company that serves colleges and universities, went public in 2010, was once valued at over $1 billion. At market close on Tuesday, Higher One’s market capitalization was $868.7 million. Glass has also invested in several other D.C. companies, including Contactually and Spinnakr.
EmployInsight’s investors include local venture capitalist Phil Bronner, a partner at Novak Biddle venture partners in Bethesda. Glass is a venture partner at Novak.
Other investors in EmployInsight include New York City-based venture firm Founder Collective, Launch Capital of New Haven, Ct., angel investor Jarrod Yuster of New York City, businessman David Cohen and Silicon Valley investor Gus Fuldner, a vice president of Benchmark Capital.
