Anacostia Properties This house in the Anacostia Historic District was built near the beginning of the 20th century. The League said the house is a rare example "of prosperous single-family detached houses" in the area. The house, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, may face demolition to make room for commercial projects, according to the League. DCPL Archives Buy Photo
