Source: This Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone June 24-July 5, 2015, among a random sample of 1,636 adults. Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish on conventional and cellular phones. Overall results have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points; the error margin is 8.5 points among the samples of 206 mothers with children under 18 and 9 points among the sample of 185 fathers with children under 18.
