Here’s a look at the top-selling video games, using the most recent data compiled by industry data firm VGChartz. Sales numbers were collected from the week ending Sept. 1 to the week ending Sept. 22.
No. 10: NHL 13 (Playstation 3) Electronic Arts announced on Sept. 20 that NHL 13, the latest version of its popular hockey video game, hit a franchise sales record worldwide. During its debut week, sales of the game were up about 9 percent compared with the franchise's previous record launch, the company said. About 33,000 copies of NHL 13 for PS3 were sold in the United States during its release week, which ended Sept. 15, according to VGChartz. Since that time, about 11,700 more units were sold, making it the 10th most popular game in the country.
