At this point, you can’t be a large developer-friendly technology company without hosting a massive dev conference of your own.

Following in the footsteps of Apple, Microsoft, and plenty others, Samsung today announced the Samsung Developer Conference, which will be held in San Francisco on October 27 to 29 at the Westin St. Francis.

Samsung says it will kick off registration for the conference later this summer (you can sign up for an e-mail alert on the SDC site now). The company also promises to reveal more details about what will be covered at the conference soon. We’re told the conference will cover all of Samsung’s products, not just mobile devices.

The Westin St. Francis offers 34 rooms for conferences, as well as a Grand Ballroom which can seat 1,100 people. Apple and Google typically see around 5,000 attendees for their developer conferences, which are held at the larger Moscone Center.
