Rhonda L. Alley
Loudoun County Public Schools
Rhonda Alley is an English teacher at Douglass School in Leesburg, Va. Douglass School is Loudoun County's center for alternative education programs. Mrs. Alley has spent the vast majority of her career working with at-risk youth. She earned her BA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and her MEd from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
Calvert County Public Schools
Derek Anderson is the theatre teacher at Huntingtown High School in Huntingtown, Md. Mr. Anderson teaches several different theatre classes as well producing and directing almost a dozen shows at Hungtingtown. He earned his BS from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. and his MEd from the University of North Caroline in Greensboro, N.C. Mr. Anderson is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland in College Park, Md.
District of Columbia Public Schools
Erica Banks is a biology teacher at Cardozo Senior High School in the District of Columbia. Ms. Banks also serves as co-chair of the Science Department. She earned her BS from the University of the District of Columbia and her MEd from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Maryel Barry Falls Church City Public Schools
Maryel Barry teaches sixth grade at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School in Falls Church, Va. Prior to joining Henderson, Ms. Barry was a gifted and talented education teacher in Prince William County. She earned her BA from Trinity College in Washington, D.C. and her MA from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
Prince George's County Public Schools
Kenneth Bernstein teaches local, state, national and AP government at Eleanore Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Md. He has been with Prince George's County Public Schools for 14 years. Mr. Bernstein earned his BA from Haverford College in Haverford, Penn., his MA from Saint Charles Seminary in Wynnewood, Penn. and his MAT from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
Joan Carol Bryant
Fauquier County Public Schools
Joan Bryant is the Literacy Coach at J.G. Brumfield Elementary School in Warrenton, Va. Ms. Bryant has also taught first grade at Brumfield. She is a native of Fauquier County and attended school there. Ms. Bryant earned her music degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and her MEd from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools
Cheryl Cox is Title One Math Resource teacher at Marley Elementary School in Glen Burnie, Md. Prior to joining the faculty at Marley, Mrs. Cox taught fifth grade for nine years. She earned her BS from the University of Delaware in Newark, Del. and her MEd from Goucher College in Baltimore, Md.
Marta Janik Craighill
Manassas Park City Schools
Marta Craighill is an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Cougar Elementary School in Manassas Park, Va. Mrs. Craighill works with the ESL students in Kindergarten through third grade. She has been the ESL teacher at Cougar since 2003. Mrs. Craighill earned her BS from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. and her MS from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y.

Susan Demeria is a fifth grade teacher at Mayfield Elementary School in Manassas, Va. Mrs. Demeria is a member of the Administrative Advisory Committee, the School Leadership Team and provides weekly after-school SOL assistance. She earned her BA from Fairmont State College in Fairmont, W.Va. and her MEd from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
Margarita G. Doughty
Frederick County Public Schools
Margarita Doughty is a Spanish teacher and serves as chair of the World Languages Department at Lingamore High School in Frederick, Md. Ms. Doughty is also the sponsor of the Spanish Honor Society at Lingamore. She received her BA from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Ill.
Stafford County Public Schools
Gregory Feducia is an English teacher at Mountain View High School in Stafford High School. Mr. Feducia teaches the English 11 International Baccalaureate class as well as the independent study and Virtual Virginia Online A.P. classes. He earned his BA from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va. and his MEd from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
Montgomery County Public Schools
Allison Finn is an English teacher at James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md. Ms. Finn is also an instructor at Johns Hopkins University. She earned her BA from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. and her MEd from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va.
Arlington Public Schools
Colette Fraley is a history teacher at Wakefield High School. Ms. Fraley teachers U.S. and Virginia history as well as AP history. She is also the chair of the Social Studies Department at Wakefield. Ms. Fraley earned her BA from Marshall University in Huntingtown, W.Va. and her MEd from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
District of Columbia Public Charter Schools
Nate Franz is the fifth grade math and science teacher at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, a K-7 public charter school in Washington, D.C. Mr. Franz is the chair of the math department at Haynes Elementary. He has also taught science and social studies at KIPP DC: Key Academy. Mr. Franz earned his BA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. and is currently pursuing his MAT at American University in Washington, D.C.

Katherine Frederick is the choral director at Leonardtown Middle School in Leonardtown, Md. Mrs. Frederick oversees Leonardtown's choral program consisting of over 300 students. She received her BS from Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, W.Va. and her MEd from McDaniel College in Westminster, Md.
M. Tate Kenneally Prince William County Public Schools
Tate Kenneally is a math teacher at Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Va. Ms. Kenneally also serves as the chair of the Math Department. She has been with Prince William County Schools since 1995. Ms. Kenneally earned her BS in mathematics from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.

Brigitte Lavey is a social studies teacher at Langley High School in McLean, Va. Mrs Lavey teachers A.P. World History, World Studies II and georgraphy. She is also the tenth grade history team leader. Mrs. Lavey earned her BA from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo.
Lynn Levinson is a humanities teacher at Maret School in Washington, DC. Ms. Levinson is also the assistant director of the Upper School at Maret. She earned her BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. and her JD from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
