The Washington Post is proud to sponsor the DC Jazz Festival and be presenting sponsor of the Jazz at The Hamilton Live Series once again this year. The Festival, which aims to bring enriching and entertaining jazz programming to the community runs June 5-16 and features more than 125 performances in dozens of venues across the city, including its six main stage venues.

The Post is proud to continue its support of the festival as the presenting sponsor of the Jazz at The Hamilton Live. Jazz at The Hamilton Live features ten nights of jazz performances including acclaimed artists such as the Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band (Haynes will be honored with the 2013 DCJF Lifetime Achievement Award), Stefon Harris & Blackout, the Roy Hargrove Quintet, the Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band, the Cyrus Chestnut Trio, the Ron Carter Golden Striker Trio, Nicholas Payton XXX, Terri Lyne Carrington, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, and the Brass-A-Holics Go Go Brass Funk Band. The Hamilton Live is the Festival’s main venue.

In addition, The Washington Post’s KidsPost is a proud sponsor of the festival’s Jazz ‘n Families Fun Days at The Phillips Collection. The free, weekend-long event celebrates the synergy between jazz and the visual arts and offers plenty entertaining activities for kids, like an instrument petting zoo and jazz-inspired storytelling.
