For the 12th straight year, The Washington Post is proud to be a sponsor of the annual Prince George’s Harlem Renaissance Festival which takes place on the grounds of the Columbia Park/Kentland Community Center in Landover, MD.
The Harlem Renaissance Festival attracts over 12,000 attendees and is one of the region’s premier multidisciplinary showcase festivals for visual and performing arts, history and current event discussions. It brings together the local community, allowing them to learn about the Harlem Renaissance Era, understand the significance and celebrate the history and culture that developed during that time.
The all-day event takes place on May 7, 2011. For more information on the festival, visit: http://pghrf.org/festival/.
