Later this summer, The Washington Post will launch a new nonprofit giving initiative called The Washington Post Helping Hand that will facilitate significant financial donations to human services organizations in the D.C. metro area through high-impact, in-depth narratives about those in need and the programs that assist them. The Post will partner with human services nonprofits that provide direct assistance to individuals and families in need and are registered 501(c)(3) organizations in the Washington, D.C. area. Areas of concentration for these organizations may include food security, temporary and transitional housing, abuse, trafficking or support of low income families and individuals.
