Democrats press White House over Moderna contract

Liberals on Wednesday urged the Biden administration to bring new pressure on Moderna, which has been criticized for not sharing its MRNA vaccines and technology with the developing world. 

According to a letter from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and colleagues, the U.S. government may be able to use federal contracting authority to unilaterally share Moderna's ingredient list and manufacturing capacity with the developing world. 

The U.S. government has put billions of dollars toward Moderna's vaccine development and rollout.
