The United States has invited global leaders to attend a virtual summit on Sept. 22 in an effort to reach worldwide consensus on how to end the coronavirus pandemic.
Ahead of the summit, the Biden administration asked participants to commit to "shared targets," such as ensuring that at least 70 percent of the population is fully vaccinated against coronavirus by next year's U.N. General Assembly.
