Lilly, a senior software engineer at Capital One, says there are several ways the company shows its commitment to embracing diversity in the workplace.

Capital One provides spaces for intentional mentorship, such as the Women in Tech Business Resource Group that Lilly participates in, where employees can connect with others and gain insight from others in the tech industry. In addition to fostering a sense of community in the workplace, this emphasis on networking can also lead to more innovative problem solving.

At Capital One, Lilly says she feels confident speaking up in meetings and adding her insights to the team. “I’ve never felt like my opinion is any less important,” said Lilly.
