Ohio Is For Opportunity

Explore the companies landing and expanding in the Buckeye State with this interactive map

The third-largest manufacturing labor force in America. World-class research and development and a bevy of STEM graduates. Just a day's drive to 60% of U.S. and Canadian populations. Dependable air routes and railways linked to worldwide commerce. The second-most affordable state for living expenses, with vibrant metro areas.

With all of this in one tidy package, it’s no surprise that industry leaders are choosing Ohio to grow their businesses.

Over the past 11 years, more than 3,200 economic development project deals from JobsOhio have helped companies invest over $71 billion in new Ohio assets and created or retained more than 900,000 jobs. More than 1,500 companies have been inspired to relocate to Ohio, ranging from Silicon Valley startups to global manufacturers.

As a global hub, Ohio links industries like international food and agribusiness, advanced manufacturing and logistics. But a deep bench of early-stage and seed funding institutions ensure entrepreneurial businesses can make their start in Ohio, too. Scores of California tech companies have found a competitive advantage here, with office rents in cities like Columbus and Cleveland 25% lower than cities like San Francisco.
