Secret Service to conduct active-shooter drills Sunday in D.C.

The U.S. Secret Service said Friday that it will conduct active-shooter drills near the White House on Sunday.

In a statement, the Secret Service said the drills will occur Sunday in the Treasury Building at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue NW from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Guns will be used in the drills, the statement said, and sounds of gunfire will be heard in the area. The D.C. fire department will also participate.
