Democrat Greg Stanton has beaten Steve Ferrara, a Republican, in the race for the House seat representing Arizona's 9th Congressional District, currently held by Democrat Kyrsten Sinema.
With all precincts reporting, Stanton has 61.1 percent of the vote, followed by Ferrara with 38.9 percent.
Sinema has represented the district in the House since 2013.
Democrats have gained a majority in the House, with 235 seats in the next Congress. All of Arizona's House seats have been decided; one switched hands, going to Democrats.
The number of votes cast for Democrats in House races has increased 55.0 percent from the 2014 midterms, compared with an increase of 25.6 percent for Republicans.
The district went for Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016 by a margin of 15.9 points. President Trump, a Republican, won Arizona by 3.5 points.
