Rep. Tom MacArthur, a Republican, has lost a bid for reelection in New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District to Andy Kim, a Democrat.
With all precincts reporting, Kim has 50 percent of the vote, followed by MacArthur with 48.7 percent.
MacArthur has represented the district in the House since 2015.
Democrats have gained a majority in the House, with 234 seats in the next Congress. All of New Jersey's House seats have been decided; four switched hands, all going to Democrats.
The number of votes cast for Democrats in House races has increased 51.8 percent from the 2014 midterms, compared with an increase of 25.1 percent for Republicans.
The district went for President Trump, a Republican, in 2016 by a margin of 6.2 points. Democrat Hillary Clinton won New Jersey by 14 points.
