Guy Reschenthaler wins Pennsylvania's 14th Congressional District seat

Republican Guy Reschenthaler has beaten Bibiana Boerio, a Democrat, in the race for the House seat representing Pennsylvania's 14th Congressional District, currently held by Democrat Mike Doyle.

With all precincts reporting, Reschenthaler has 57.9 percent of the vote, followed by Boerio with 42.1 percent.

Democrats have gained a majority in the House, with 235 seats in the next Congress. All of Pennsylvania's House seats have been decided; five switched hands, with four going to Democrats and one going to Republicans.

The number of votes cast for Democrats in House races has increased 55.0 percent from the 2014 midterms, compared with an increase of 25.6 percent for Republicans.

President Trump, a Republican, won Pennsylvania by 0.7 points.
