Voters in Tennessee will fill the open Senate seat being vacated by Bob Corker (R) and elect representatives for nine House seats, two of which are held by Democrats and seven by Republicans. In contrast with retiring Sen. Bob Corker (R), conservative Rep. Marsha Blackburn has embraced President Trump, who won Tennessee by more than 25 points. Phil Bredesen, a popular former governor and former Nashville mayor, is the last Democrat to win statewide. In his 2006 gubernatorial race, he won all 95 counties. Singer Taylor Swift, who is from Tennessee, made a rare political statement by endorsing Bredesen.
