Rep. Michael Cloud, a Republican, has won another term representing Texas' 27th Congressional District, beating Eric Holguin, a Democrat.
With all precincts reporting, Cloud has 60.3 percent of the vote, followed by Holguin with 36.6 percent.
Cloud has represented the district in the House since winning the June 30 special election.
Democrats have gained a majority in the House, with 235 seats in the next Congress. All of Texas's House seats have been decided; two switched hands, all going to Democrats.
The number of votes cast for Democrats in House races has increased 55.0 percent from the 2014 midterms, compared with an increase of 25.6 percent for Republicans.
The district went for President Trump, a Republican, in 2016 by a margin of 23.5 points. Trump won Texas by nine points.
