Raphael Warnock (D) and Jon Ossoff (D) are projected to win Georgia’s U.S. Senate runoff elections, giving Democrats control of both chambers of Congress.

Runoff elections were held Jan. 5 after no candidate captured more than 50 percent of the vote in November. Two Democratic victories will split the Senate evenly, with Vice President-elect Kamala D. Harris as the tie-breaking vote.
