Indiana's primary was originally scheduled for May 5 but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The state had in-person early voting in the week leading up to the primary, and voters did not need a reason to vote by mail. Sen. Bernie Sanders ended his campaign April 8 but said he is still seeking to amass delegates to influence the party's platform.
