Democrats are picking a candidate to face Republican Sen. Susan Collins in November. In the 2nd District, Republicans are vying for the chance to take on Democratic Rep. Jared Golden, who flipped the seat in 2018. Maine primaries were originally scheduled for June 9. The state is holding in-person voting, but a record number of absentee ballots have already been cast. Maine uses ranked-choice voting.
