Live results: 2020 North Dakota Democratic presidential caucuses

Last Updated: Mar 11, 2020 at 8:28 a.m. EDT

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) won North Dakota’s Democratic presidential caucus. The state awards 14 delegates, the smallest prize on March 10. Sanders earned eight; former vice president Joe Biden got six. What was new in 2020: A system, run by the state Democratic party, that functioned more like a primary than a caucus. Democratic voters were free to vote and leave at 14 locations across the state, and the surge in participation caused long lines at polls. Turnout more than quadrupled over 2016, when Sanders also won, by a far larger margin
