Two different economic records
It’s easy to give a particular impression of a candidate’s economic record by choosing different sets of statistics and starting points. The charts on the right suggest that President Obama has made little progress in filling the jobs hole left by the recession. The charts on the left show a much more promising trajectory. The data are correct, but the graphs have been exaggerated for maximum impact -- much like the campaign rhetoric. Read related article.
