SERIES PREMIERE: “Underground BBQ Challenge” (Travel at 9) pits neighborhood against neighborhood across the country in an epic barbecue cooking contest with $10,000 and bragging rights at stake. “History Detectives” (MPT and WETA at 9) investigates the unsolved Servant Girl Murders of 1884-85 that left eight women brutally murdered in Austin.

“Frontline” (MPT and WETA at 10) reports on the growing racial divide in America’s schools and focuses on a group of parents in Baton Rouge, La., who are trying to form a school district that would not include black students.

FINALE WATCH: The first season of “The Night Shift” (NBC at 10) closes with Topher injured in a shootout and T.C. struggling with his flashbacks.

SERIES PREMIERE: “The Hotwives of Orlando” (Hulu), a parody of the “Real Housewives” franchise, stars “Happy Endings’s” Casey Wilson and “The Office’s” Angela Kinsey (among others) as less than glamorous wives in central Florida.
