Game 3 of the 2014 NBA Finals (ABC at 9) has the San Antonio Spurs in Miami to compete against the Heat.

SERIES PREMIERE: The new drama “Chasing Life” (ABC Family at 9) centers on April, a 20-something aspiring journalist in Boston trying to balance career and family (including her widowed mom, her rebellious sister and her grandmother) when she’s diagnosed with cancer at the same hospital where her estranged uncle works as an oncologist.

The remaining contestants get suspicious of “Sir’s” identity after they find a telling photograph on the latest “I Wanna Marry ‘Harry’ ” (Fox at 9).

RETURNING SHOW: Hank returns to the Hamptons on the “Royal Pains” (USA at 9) Season 6 opener.

A hog-hunting trip goes horribly wrong and Drew is injured in his MMA fight on “The Night Shift” (NBC at 10).

SERIES PREMIERE: The documentary “Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran” (MTV at 11) takes fans inside the world of the British singer-songwriter and paints a portrait of the young artist at a critical juncture in his life, filled with the energy of a career that he hopes is largely ahead of him.

Filmmaker, author and Baltimore native John Waters stops by “The Colbert Report” (Comedy Central at 11:30) to promote his latest book, “Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America.”

Comedian Jim Carrey and actors Jeff Daniels and Taylor Schilling are on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (NBC at 11:35), along with a musical performance from Ed Sheeran.

Elusive comedian Dave Chappelle and Laura Prepon of “Orange Is the New Black” stop by the “Late Show With David Letterman” (CBS at 11:35), with music from the Orwells.
