“Running Wild With Bear Grylls” (NBC at 8 p.m.) is giving the American people exactly what they want with Channing Tatum as the show’s latest participant heading into the great yonder with Mr. Grylls. This time, the two are trekking through Yosemite National Park.

Two new bachelors arrive on “Bachelor in Paradise” (ABC at 8) as one contestant finds out that a resident has been lying the whole time and has a girlfriend back home.

With the dawn of a new football season, “MasterChef” (Fox at 8) naturally makes its way onto the field with a group competition to see who can make the tastiest, healthiest game-day fare.

SERIES PREMIERE: Helmed by the super-smart Mayim Bialik of “The Big Bang Theory” fame, “Candid Camera” (TV Land at 8) is back and revamped with help from an occasional celebrity. In the opener, Megan Hilty of Broadway fame attempts to baffle mechanics by asking for an inspection with a car that does not have an engine.

“American Ninja Warrior” (NBC at 9) highlights the best runs of the season with a two-hour special.
