When is ‘Simone Biles Day’ going to become an official federal holiday?

DICTIONARY.COM, praising gymnast Simone Biles’ execution of a triple double on her floor routine during Sunday’s finals of the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. Biles became the first woman to successfully land the move, which is two flips with three twists. Biles has attempted to land the skill twice before: on Friday’s opening day, when she put both hands on the mat, and in July, when she stepped out of bounds. Biles’ feat helped her win her sixth U.S. title.

The new ink appears to be a reference to Drake in June nabbing his 35th song on the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10, topping The Beatles’ mark of 34. Many people, including some Drake fans, criticized the tattoo as “arrogant.”


@boydhilton, tweeting about Netflix’s release Monday of the long-awaited teaser trailer for Season 3 of “The Crown.” Fans were elated to finally see actress Olivia Colman, above, take over as Queen Elizabeth II. Claire Foy portrayed the longest-reigning monarch in the first two seasons of “The Crown,” which recasts characters to follow the royal family’s aging. Season 3 begins streaming on Nov. 17.

Twitter users said Versace shouldn’t have apologized, given China’s violent crackdowns on ongoing protests in Hong Kong.
