If you’ve been hibernating all winter, The North Face wants to remind you to come out and play. Its Mountain Athletics Tour lands at the Georgetown waterfront — near the brand’s store (3333 M St. NW) — on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

You can register for the chance to sweat through free, hourlong training sessions led by a crew of athletes that includes ultramarathon legend Dean Karnazes. Expect sprints, burpees and planks. (There’s a lot more where that came from at thenorthface.com/mountainathletics, which spits out six-week programs designed for runners, mountain climbers and skiers. An accompanying app will be released in July.)

Other reasons to make the trek: There will be free food and drink, the chance to scope out the Mountain Athletics apparel collection and footwear demos. Plus, it’s a good warm-up for The North Face Endurance Challenge, set for June 7 and 8.
