The elusive restrooms of D.C.’s Metro are on today’s cover


Metro riders have a real potty problem: they can’t seem to find one. While restrooms are available in 81 of Metro’s 86 stations, their locations are so hidden it takes a hunt to discover any. And since the restrooms are always locked, patrons need to ask a station manager to go with them to unlock the door. While Metro says the new Silver Line will have conveniently placed restrooms, riders wonder about the rest of the stations.
