The best time to visit this new-ish coffee shop is on Saturday mornings when it hosts the Purcellville Community Market. Located just off the Washington & Old Dominion bike trail in a Victorian-style house, LoCo Joe is best known for its pour-over coffees and latte art. “People look at the cappuccinos and say, ‘It’s so pretty I don’t want to drink it,’ ” owner Juanita Tool says.

Vigilante Coffee Company

In mid-July, Christopher Vigilante opened a 3,000- square-foot roasting facility with a full espresso and coffee bar in a former Model T showroom. “We do the roasting on-site, right in front of the customer,” Vigilante says. Pastries are provided by local bakers Shortcake Bakery and La Flor de Puebla.
