In addition to quality joe, these local coffee companies provide  funds to worthy causes.  Here’s a look at their feel-good missions.

Coexist Coffee
Coexist Coffee sources fair-trade beans from post-conflict countries, kicking things off with Uganda. ”Our model creates economic growth and helps to prevent conflict in the future,” says Abraham Kamarck, CEO of Coexist Corp., which donates profits to education programs for farmers and children in those countries.

Cafe Los Suenos
This local roaster — now popped-up at Mr. Yogato — purchases beans only from farms with ethical practices. “We want to create economically and environmentally sustainable communities,” says co-founder Elizabeth Ryan. A portion of proceeds benefit educational services.
