FitReserve, a multi-studio membership plan that already operates in New York and Boston, launches in D.C. today, allowing users to take boutique fitness classes at more than 60 area studios and gyms.
FitReserve’s co-founder and CEO, Megan Smyth, says that her service stands out because members have access to a studio’s full schedule — unlike ClassPass’ more restrictive choices. FitReserve members can also work out at a single studio four times a month. (ClassPass has a limit of three.)
While the membership includes notable gyms and studios like CrossFit DC, Yoga Heights and Reformation Fitness, Smyth likes to tout some of the less-traditional class offerings, like tennis at TopNotch Tennis in northern Virginia, and batting cage practice at Performance Sport Systems in Gaithersburg, Md.
