I often wonder why apples feature so prominently in mythology when peaches exist. Peaches — golden-hued, gently fuzzy, sublimely sweet with traces of tartness — are simply a perfect fruit. I’m not the only one who thinks this! Peach season (and stone fruit season in general) has ardent followers who wait patiently for this time of year, when the fruit is at its peak for eating raw or cooking in a dish.
