Hurricane Michael’s catastrophic damage

This browser does not support the video element.

Hurricane Michael blasted ashore Wednesday and left in its path a level of devastation those on the ground have deemed “catastrophic.” The Category 4 storm — the strongest on record to hit the Florida Panhandle — twisted through idyllic beachside towns, obliterated businesses and tossed boats from the sea to the shore. Roofs and walls disappeared. Ocean debris invaded bedrooms, and kitchen appliances were exposed to open air. The barriers that separate inside from outside no longer exist.
