Jeffrey E. Thompson, a D.C. power player under federal investigation, grew up in Bull Savannah, Jamaica, a small village on the South Coast. The town, which has a population of about 7,000 people, is dependent on the farming and bauxite industries. Thompson’s family still lives there, and he visits often, contributing to the primary school, a hospital and to individual residents with financial needs.
