Vice President of Media & Communications, National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)
Jean directs the media relations function at NFIB, with responsibility for NFIB's messaging and media outreach at the national, state and local levels.
A veteran NFIB employee, Jean now heads the NFIB office she worked in from 1996-2001. Before returning to NFIB in the fall of 2010, Jean spent six years in the federal government as a speechwriter for the Secretaries of Treasury and Labor as well as the Attorney General. She also served as the deputy assistant administrator in the office of communications at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Following her government service, Jean joined her husband in their own small-business venture, Willow Creek Communications, Inc., where she provided writing services and communications consulting on public policy issues for a variety of clients.
Jean is a graduate of Middlebury College and has also studied at the University of Kent at Canterbury in the U.K.
