Gary Oldman wins best actor in a motion picture, drama for ‘Darkest Hour’

Oldman kicked things off by quoting Winston Churchill, whom he played in the historical drama: “My tastes are simple — I am easily satisfied with the best.” It was a natural segue to thanking the cast and crew on the film: “I was surrounded by the very best.”

He also thanked his wife for putting up with his “crazy” while shooting the movie.
