A home-schooler’s typical day
A day in the life of a home schooler
Farrar Williams home-schools her 7-year-old twin boys. Here is a curriculum:
8 a.m. - 10 a.m: Lessons begin at the dining room table. They include phonics, math and guided reading; history projects or other academic projects.
10 a.m. - 1 p.m: Join other home-schoolers for cooperative learning. Parents tag-team teaching subjects or gather for a field trip to a museum, park or local stage production.
Afternoon: Downtime/individual reading.
Late afternoon: Piano lessons.
