Here are two flirtatiously named zinfandels — excellent to accompany grilled meats — plus more rosés for late summer, and a white.

Zin-Phomaniac Old Vines Zinfandel 2012

★ ★1/2

Lodi, Calif., $18

Spicy raspberry and cranberry flavors are carried by a lush mouth feel and a long finish. Alcohol by volume: 14.9 percent.

Southern: Available in the District at World Market (Chevy Chase). Available in Maryland at Jim’s BottleWorks and Liquor Stop in Bel Air, Montgomery County liquor stores (various locations), R.C. Rodger’s Liquor Store in Catonsville, Weaver’s Discount Liquors in Elkton.

Alexander Valley Vineyards Temptation Zinfandel 2010/2011

★ ★

California, $13

One of a trio of zins produced by the winemaker, this is the statewide blend. The others are Sin Zin (Alexander Valley) and Redemption (Dry Creek Valley), each of which expresses character from its region. The Temptation gives us a clean, juicy expression of the zinfandel grape. The wine has been a reliable bargain, vintage after vintage. I most recently tasted the 2011, though the local distributor still has the 2010. ABV: 14.5 percent.

Bacchus: Available in the District at Magruder’s, Metro K Supermarket, Paul’s of Chevy Chase, Whole Foods Market (Foggy Bottom); on the list at Blue 44, Del Campo. Available in Maryland at North Charles Fine Wine & Spirits, Quarry Wine & Spirits and Wells Discount Liquors in Baltimore; Severna Park Wine & Spirits and Victoria’s Fancy Foods in Severna Park, Shawan Liquors in Hunt Valley.

Señorío de Sarría Viñedo No. 5 Garnacha Rosado 2013

★ ★1/2

Navarra, Spain, $17

This terrific rosé, or rosado in Spanish, is heartier and earthier than most pink wines. I recently enjoyed a bottle of the 2012, a reminder that the Spanish traditionally drink their rosados in the second year after vintage. I recommend stocking up on this for the fall and beyond. ABV: 13.5 percent.

Kysela: Available in the District at Magruder’s, P&C Market, Rodman’s. Available in Maryland at College Square Liquors and Cranberry Liquors in Westminster, Eddie’s of Roland Park in Baltimore. Available in Virginia at Curious Grape and Little City Gourmet in Arlington.

Domaine Mur-Mur-Ium Rosé 2013

★ ★

Côtes du Ventoux, France, $13

Light and elegant in the Provençal style, this pale wine is so refreshing you won’t want to take your eye off the bottle, for fear someone else will finish it. ABV: 12.5 percent.

M Touton: Available in the District at Burka’s Wine & Liquor, Cleveland Park Wine and Spirits, Connecticut Avenue Wine & Liquor, Rodman’s. Available in Maryland at Hopkins Deli in Baltimore, Old Farm Liquors in Frederick. Available in Virginia at Crystal City Wine Shop, Leesburg Vintner, Town Duck in Warrenton, Unwined (Alexandria), the Vineyard in McLean.

Palacio de Bornos Verdejo 2013

★ ★

Rueda, Spain, $13

Verdejo makes a fruity yet refreshing wine, similar to sauvignon blanc in weight and style but lacking the aggression. This example has ripe peach and apricot flavors with a hint of summer herbs. ABV: 13.5 percent.

Kysela: Available in the District at Magruder’s; on the list at Estadio. Available in Maryland at Cafe Liquor in Hagerstown, Jason’s Wine & Spirits in Ellicott City, Port of Call Liquors in Solomons, Wells Discount Liquors and Wine Source in Baltimore. Available in Virginia at Chain Bridge Cellars in McLean, Crozet Great Valu, Harris Teeter (Charlottesville), Locke Modern Country Store in Millwood, Norm’s Beer & Wine in Vienna, Whole Foods Market (Tysons Corner).
